Solent Medical Skills | Pre-Hospital Medical Training

FREC - FIRST RESPONSE EMERGENCY CARE - Pre-hospital medical training In Southampton

Solent Medical Skills is a leading provider of the FREC pathway suite of qualifications. At our Southampton centre, we deliver the Level 3 and 4 Certificates and Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF).

Advanced Courses - FREC Level 3, 4 and Diploma Level 5

The FREC pathway is suitable for those wanting a modular system of medical progression for events, high threat environments and frontline ambulance work. This can take you from being a novice right up to the Level 6 Diploma in Paramedic Practice  – all without having to go near a university!

Our instructors have extensive pre-hospital experience on NHS frontline emergency ambulances. If they teach you a skill like paediatric CPR, they will have done it for real!

“Excellent professional trainer – the GPs especially were very impressed with this.”

GP Practice Manager, Penny’s Hill Practice, Dorset.

Due diligence

HSE guidance places responsibility on employers to achieve various levels of due diligence to ensure that the quality of training meets the legislative requirements as follows:

Regulated first aid qualification accredited by an awarding body like Qualsafe and delivered by a company like Solent Medical Skills – no due diligence required.

Training from the voluntary aid societies like St Johns etc – employers may still wish to undertake some of the elements of due diligence.

First aid associations and non-accredited first aid providers – full due diligence required.

This could not be clearer. If you get your first aid training from anywhere but an accredited training organisation, you may leave yourself open to legal risk. A course with Solent Medical Skills ensures complete peace of mind!
