For the past month, one of our team has been deployed pro bono to Ukraine, training locals and giving medical assistance.
Nearly 200 individuals have been provided with training in trauma management, focusing on the critical time close to point of injury. Classes have taken place in medical treatment centres, hospitals and other settings, in low, medium and high risk areas.
The learners have included groups of doctors and surgeons adapting their knowledge to better suit a pre-hospital setting. The training has rolled out encompassing military, paramedics, police and hospital staff. Over a dozen of the advanced clinicians will go on to pass on the learning from the courses.
